A bustling alpine market town and a busy ski resort, Moutiers has a traditional town centre that takes tourists down memory lane to see what it was like in Moutiers in the past. However, Moutiers is best known as a home away from home for active skiers and snowboarders.

The Moutiers Rail Station is a major rail terminus for many other French resorts. The train station serves trains from Eurostar Ski Train that run from late December to early April every year. Travellers can choose to use night service' or high-speed day service'. From Paris Gare De Lyon, the journey takes about four hours.

Passengers can find basic facilities at the station including toilets, telephones, ATMs, a waiting area and a ticket office. There are also a few car rental agencies to accommodate those wishing to explore the region at their own pace.

Moutiers provides a range of accommodations scattered throughout the town and travellers can also find many restaurants, pubs and cafs. Holiday home renters can stock up on supplies at one of the three supermarkets in town.

As the town is a main hub for skiers and an excellent base to get to other ski resorts, having a car is a great idea to travel independently.
