Le Mans Rail Station serves a number of trains from Paris and other towns in France. High speed TGV trains from Paris Ile de France Station leave for Le Mans regularly every day. The journey takes about 55 minutes. The direct TGV service from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Le Mans takes just 90 minutes. Regional trains run between Le Mans and the nearby towns of Angers, Tours and Laval.

Passengers will find adequate facilities at the train station such as toilets, telephones, ATMs, a waiting area and car rental booths. To get to the city centre, taxis are available right outside the train station.

Known for motor sports, Le Mans has two racing tracks that hold tournaments regularly. The circuit is about two and a half miles from the train station. Less hurried attractions include the exquisite Cathedral St Julien, the remnants of a Roman wall and Roman baths by the river. The well preserved old town is the perfect place for a stroll.
