Le Creusot Rail Station is officially known as Le Creusot Montceau Montchanin TGV' and serves both regional and high speed TGV trains. The town is just 1 hour 20 minutes from the Gare de Lyon in Paris. There is an older station that serves older, slower trains so be sure to specify the TGV station when buying tickets.

Passengers can expect facilities such as public toilets, telephones, a waiting area, snack kiosks and car rental booths. The station has taxis and shuttles for runs into the city centre.

There are several parks to entertain visitors, including the Parc Touristique des Combes that appeals to families with young children and a go cart circuit for older speed demons.
