Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport, also known as Beziers Airport, serves the nearby town Beziers along with the stunning coastal resorts in nearby Languedoc. These coastal towns and villages are easy to reach by car, and hiring a vehicle allows you to fully appreciate the stunning French coast. Beziers Airport is located six miles to the south of Beziers and was previously known as Beziers-Vias Airport.

Who to Book With
With five car hire companies situated within Beziers Airport, it is easy to hire a vehicle here. In the main terminal, you will find desks for international companies such as Avis, Europcar and Hertz, along with desks for Alamo and National.

Driving
Driving is on the right in France. Roads are generally well maintained, although some small country roads can be unlit at night. Toll roads are common and small change is needed for quick payment. Parking restrictions are enforced across the country and parking in a prohibited area can result in either a fine or the towing of the vehicle. Many petrol pumps accept cards, although not all take UK-issued cards, so remember to carry cash. Drivers must carry both a reflective jacket and a warning triangle in the vehicle by law.

Transport

Although there is no train station at the airport, there is a shuttle service from the airport to the train station in nearby Beziers. There are a number of car rental companies at the airport, making self-driving to other destinations quick and easy. Taxis are available but can be expensive for long journeys.

Taxis
Taxis at the airport are provided by a number of companies, including Taxis Radio de Beziers, whose cabs wait outside of the main terminal.

Beziers Airport to Toulouse is about £220

Buses
There is a Herault Transport shuttle bus that runs from the airport to a number of destinations, including Agde, Cap d’Agde, Vias, Marseillan town and Veziers main bus station. The shuttle bus also stops as Beziers Railway Station upon request. With so many stops, this service can take a while and tends to be crowded. Tickets cost around £2 per person.

Facilities

Terminals
This small airport has one main terminal and one runway. A number of discount airlines fly to Beziers Airport, including Ryanair. The main terminal is where passengers will find the majority of services along with a number of car hire companies and local information.

Parking
Parking is located in front of the terminal and the car park is closed at night. It is free to park here for up to 30 minutes, and from then on prices vary. It costs around £2 for between 2 and 4 hours of parking or about £30 for seven days of parking.

Wi-Fi
There is a Wi-Fi zone in the terminal where passengers can use the Wi-Fi without charge.

Information Services
There is a tourist information area in the main terminal. Here, passengers can find plenty of information about the surrounding area as well as information on flights, accommodation and transport.

The airport has a number of ramps and there are wheelchairs for disabled passengers. You can request assistance from the information services in the main terminal.

Restaurants and Bars
There is a small restaurant in the terminal. Here, you can buy hot and cold food. There’s also an outdoor terrace where alcohol is served. There is another bar in the Departures lounge which serves a small selection of beverages.

VIP Lounges
There is no VIP lounge.

Money and ATMs
There is one ATM in the main terminal, near the information area. This ATM only dispenses euro. There is no money exchange within the airport.

Shopping
There are no shops in the airport.
