On a tour of the city don’t miss the Cathedral's of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, which were built during the 11th century and the 13th century on Petrská Street, sittng atop a hill overlooking the city. Further afield is probably Brno’s greatest treasure, Spilberk Castle. Built in the 13th century, it has been both a Prussian fortress and Nazi dungeon.

The ’dragon’ which hangs from the ceiling is in actuality an alligator which was a gift provided  to Brno in 1608 by Archprince Matayás. The giant Wagon Wheel reflects Brno’s industrial strength.
