The airport is located near Brno in the Czech Republic. Busy and modern, the airport handles about half a million passengers annually. Brno is a beautiful city, mainly regarded as an industrial city, however it has many interesting historical buildings such as the Cathedral of the St. Peter and Paul, the Underground Ossuary, Veveri Castle (15km northwest), Spilberk Castle, and the Moravské zemské muzeum. Airport Facilities

The airport is relatively small with only has three check-in desks, two gates and one baggage claim belt. There is a bureau de change, a handful of restaurants and bars, several shops including a duty-free shop, a newsagents, chemist and gift shop.

For help and assistance there is a tourist help desk in the arrivals hall. Other facilities include; car rental desks, first aid, baby-changing rooms and facilities for disabled passengers.

There are about 150 short-term parking spaces available at the airport.

By car
As the airport is very close to the town, it is easily accessible. If you are travelling by car the airport can be reached by the D1 Brno-Olomouc motorway. There is an exit that is clearly signposted, that leads directly to the airport.
