Newcastle under Lyme is a historic market town in Staffordshire, north England. Known as 'Castle' to the folk who reside here, it is the most important town in the Borough of Newcastle under Lyme and is a great place to visit if you want to experience both rural and urban England.

The town is very pretty and takes a lot of pride in its appearance. It has therefore been awarded many 'Britain in Bloom' awards over the years for its impressive gardens. There is lots to see here, and the best way to fit it all in is by car hire in Newcastle under Lyme.

If you take your cheap car hire in Newcastle under Lyme to the east end of the Ironmarket you will find the Queen's Gardens. They are located in the middle of a roundabout and are the only park within a ring road in the country. Despite this, they are surprisingly pretty and tranquil and well worth a visit.
