Grangemouth Guide

Grangemouth in Scotland is nestled nice between Edinburgh and Glasgow about 25 miles away from them both. It is mainly a large industrial town that is home to a giant oil refinery and it is located on the banks of the Firth of Forth Estuary that leads out into the North Sea.

The town dates back to the 18th century and was a major port for the transport of goods when nearby harbours were charging high unloading prices. Today the port is the largest in terms of tonnage per day in Scotland and is major supplier for goods to the north of the UK.

Cheap car hire in Grangemouth is great way to travel around to the shopping centres that are opening up in the area. This is a direct response to the amount of people commuting to Glasgow and Edinburgh and because of more tourists looking for cheaper options to staying in the cities.
