Dont have any real comments about car rentrals but anything that can be done to make renting a car easier would be great but all the rental companies are so difficult to deal with. A question - why after filling in all my details does every rental company seem to have to spend half an hour typing everything and could we just have one insurance policy that we could trust.

Facing each other across the mighty River Aare, the town of Zuchwil and the small city of Solothurn are both interesting places to visit for those who are taking the time to get to know this region of Switzerland. Located at the south foot of the Jura mountain, this is an area of intense natural beauty.

With car hire in Zuchwil-solothurn, driving between the two places is simply and takes just over five minutes. The journey takes motorists along and across the River Aare, which is a particularly pretty journey.

While there are plenty of places to spend the night in Zuchwil, many visitors choose to base themselves in Solothurn as many of the hotels here offer stunning river views from their balconies. What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
