Dont have any real comments about car rentrals but anything that can be done to make renting a car easier would be great but all the rental companies are so difficult to deal with. A question - why after filling in all my details does every rental company seem to have to spend half an hour typing everything and could we just have one insurance policy that we could trust.

Considered as one of the 10 largest airports in all of Europe, the Zurich Airport is located 11 kms from Kloten. The airport is known as the headquarters of SwissAir, the Swiss National Airline. The airport serves as a principal gateway for arrivals of tourists who wish to explore Switzerland.

Those who want to see the sights of Kloten downtown can get information from the two tourist desks. Advice on the different nearby tourist destinations, free maps, hotel reservation boards and touch screen information system are available daily. If you are new to the Kloten area, it is best that you withdraw money from ATMs at the airport but there are also some money changing stations in the train station below the airport.

The subterranean trainstation is located beneath Terminal B, and is the most preferred way of travelling to and from the airport. Trains usually depart 4 to 7 hours hourly heading towards the city's main station. You can get almost anywhere in Switzerland through the train system. If you want a more comfortable travel, you can opt for a hotel bus service, taxis or car rental.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
