What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Boden is a town in the heart of Norrbotten County. The people speak Swedish except for some who speak Finnish because Boden is close to the Finnish border. However, there are many more languages you can hear as a result of immigration. There are flights accessible to Boden from Lulea Airport which is about 40 minutes away from Boden. Approximately 12 daily flights are available to and from Stockholm and the flight duration only takes slightly more than an hour.

It is a good idea to hire a car from the car hire company when visiting Boden. Boden Downtown is known for its beautiful nature sceneries and many activities you can do while you enjoy your holidays in the town. When you have your own hire car, you can travel anywhere you want through the main roads, connecting each town and village, which are waiting for you to explore them.

If you enjoy hunting or fishing, you must not leave Boden without going on a tour through the Arctic Adventure or Arctic Fishing. If you simply want to enjoy the nature, you can go camping in the woods with your travel friends or simply alone, if you are backpacking. Winter is all about snow so there are many snow related activities you can do. During the winter season there is ice skating, ice fishing and skiing. To travel in between all these wonderful places, you really need to have your own transportation and nothing beats car hire.
