Car rental in Juan Carlos is a good option for those staying in the main resort of Puerto del Carmen on the Canary Island of Lanzarote, as it is a major street in the centre. There are many hotels, shops and restaurants in this area, the beach is not far away, plus the airport is only 10kms to the northeast.

With car hire in Juan Carlos you can check out the port area of Puerto del Carmen and take a drive along the stunning beaches. They are not the most beautiful beaches on the island, yet they are the best equipped with hotels and nightlife and are central to everywhere else for exploring by hire car.

Many visitors pick up cheap car hire in Lanzarote - Juan Carlos and head inland to check out the volcanic scenery of Lanzarote. The island is quite small and is criss-crossed by decent roads and you can drive the length of it in an hour or two. Most of the beaches are in the east at Puerto del Carmen and south at Playa Blanca, while the west coast is more rugged.

Those into landscapes should take a drive out to the west with car rental in Juan Carlos, specifically to the Timanfaya National Park, which is only about 30kms by road from Puerto del Carmen.  What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
