Situated in central Spain, 200 kilometres south of Madrid, Ciudad Real is capital of Castilla La Mancha. It is easily reached from the capital, Madrid, by air, as well as by high speed train, and you can also take advantage of cheap car hire in Ciudad Real Rail Station.

It as actually better and just as fast to take the train to Ciudad Real over flying as the high speed Talgo 200 makes the journey in under an hour (from Atocha Station). With flying you need to check in, hang around in the terminal in Madrid, and of course transfer both ends. In addition, Ciudad Real Rail Station in town is useful for car rental at Ciudad Real Rail Station.

The train station is just east of the city centre of Ciudad Real and within close proximity to city attractions and to hotels and restaurants. The royal town of Ciudad Real is a fine place to visit in itself and to have car hire in Ciudad Real Rail Station for exploring the region at large.

The main sights in town are the Don Quixote Museum and the Mudejar Puerta de Toledo (a huge monument), while simply wandering around town and taking in the authentic Spanish atmosphere and the many tapas bars is pleasant. To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
