Santa Ponsa on the beautiful Spanish Island of Mallorca, is a favorite getaway for Spaniards and foreign tourists alike. This city is an excellent base for golfers, scuba divers, anglers, hikers, beach lovers and for day-trips to other parts of the island.

For a little history, hike up to the spot where King Jaime I first viewed the island before he conquered it from Moors. Here is found the Cruz de al Conquista, a monument to this event. From this spot much of the island is visible as well as a stunning view of the ocean. The view quickly makes it apparent why he chose this spot to plan his military campaign for the island. This place also makes a good spot for you to make your plan for its exploration.

Otherwise this city is all for lovers of recreation. If you are a golfer, the city has two Championship golf courses that have both hosted European PGA events in the past. The beach is beautiful and varied, offering both open spaces for sunbathers and shaded areas under pine trees for those wanting to escape the heat. From the beach, a range of activities can be had. Scuba equipment, courses and excursions are available. There are opportunities for jet skiing and parasailing, and there are boats and equipment for hire for a day out in the ocean fishing.

There are many beautiful and fun day-trips available from the city by car. Up the coastline from Santa Ponsa are the villages of Deya and Valldemossa. While both are traditional fishing villages with good seafood and a relaxed charm, for some the fun is all in getting there as they enjoy the stunning views of the ocean. Another exciting trip can be had over the mountain road to Palma. There are no less than 50 hairpin turns on this winding road. This ride can be exhilarating, but is not for the faint of heart.

The airport on Mallorca offers daily flights to and from Madrid, from where you can get flights to major cities around Europe and North America.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
