Sant Cugat del Vallès Guide

Situated just inland from Spain's west coast is the interesting town and municipality of Sant Cugat Del Valles. Located in Catalonia, it is only around three miles from the famous city of Barcelona. Many, therefore, live here and commute to work in the city.

If you are visiting the area, the best way to get around at your own pace is by car hire in Sant Cugat Del Valles. This way you can travel to Barcelona with ease and view the famous architecture here. The city also boasts a renowned shopping area, known as Mecca, where you can pick up everything from designer labels to high-street brands.

If you do choose cheap car hire in Sant Cugat Del Valles, you can also visit the town's serene monastery. It is home to a very pretty Romanesque cloister (partially-covered walkway) and an altar painted by the 16th century Renaissance artist Ayne Bru. Saint Cucuphas, who the town was originally named after, is also said to have died on this spot.

Other interesting buildings that are easily reached by car rental in Sant Cugat Del Valles are the Valles School of Architecture and the Centre d'Alt Rendiment. The latter is a famous sports training ground for high performance cars.

Sant Cugat Del Valles is also good for those with a bit of cash to splash with its pedestrianised shopping area. It also has some very good restaurants to duck into, as well as two cinemas and a concert hall. The town is well-connected with a train station and a subway linking to Barcelona, Terrassa and Sabadell.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
