Motril Guide

Montril is a town located in the province of Granada. It is a popular travel destination mainly because of its interesting beaches and its wonderful climate. The beaches are always full of people all year but it can get especially crowded during the summer. While Motril doesn't offer much in terms of the conventional tourist attractions, it still welcomes its fair share of visitors because it is also considered a suitable travel base for exploring the rest of Granada.

Options for car hire in Montril are served by several international and local providers. The town is a recognized car rental hub aside from the Granada Airport possibly due to the number of people visiting the town each year. The best way to get around the province is still by driving although there are reliable bus networks available there as well.

What makes Motril interesting is its famous nudist beach accessible through a cheap car hire in Montril. Playa Granada is frequented by a lot of tourists because of its distinct beach culture. But if you're looking for a more conventional beach, head out of town to nearby Carchuna, Calahonda and Torrenueva.

While in Motril, travelers are also encouraged to sample the town's local dishes. Migas or crumbs is a popular dish here. This is similar to the Arabic couscous and is made of flour. Fish is also quite popularly served in the town. If you're visiting in November to April, you can take your car rental in Montril up the Sierra Nevada for its great skiing sites.

Motril is served by the Granada Airport which offers daily connections to Madrid and Barcelona as well as budget flights to other European cities. Bus systems offer land transport from the airport to the town.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
