Arenal D'en Castell is a peaceful resort just 12 miles north of Mahon. If you like a relaxing holiday this place is situated far from the party resorts of Mallorca. It is set in a beautiful bay surrounded with steep hills and a white sandy beach. Once you are settled into the town, you will find travelling by bus to be most convenient since the streets are narrow and often unmarked.

There are approximately four hotels in the town and most offer a view of the stunning cliffs surrounding the town. For lodging accommodations, try; Hotel Aquamarine, Castell Playa, Isla Paraiso and Marina Park.

Primarily a summer resort area, the beaches of Arenal D'en Castell offers a relaxing setting to bask in the sun, play in the shallow, warm water or enjoy one of the main water-sports available.

Entertainment in Arenal D'en Castell is provided mainly through the hotels, so there is little nightlife other than restaurants and a few bars. Local bars include; Kane's Pub, Japi Bar, and Jambares. There are many restaurants offering a wide selection of menu options and many featuring seafood from local waters. For those wanting a more active nightlife, Son Parc is only a short walk, just a few minutes away. Son Parc is also home to the regions only golf course and offers most of the shopping venues.

On Sundays, neighboring town, Es Mercadal has an open market that is fun to explore and makes for a nice day trip. Mount Toro is another local sight with the island's highest peak and an ancient monastery.
