Mokpo is a port city located at the southwest of the Korean peninsular. The city is very easy to access from Seoul or from any place in South Korea. The population of this nice and picturesque city is around 241,679. The people here are proud of their land and respect it. The city of Mokpo was once a huge place when it served as the critical port for transportation and other commercial purposes. It also serves as the major landmark for all the buses and trains in around Seoul. Muan-gun and the Sinan-gun are surrounding this wonderful place and comprises of a number of islands in the west cost.

The Yudal Mountain is the highest point of Mokpo. This is situated at the end of Noryeong range. You will also see the fabulous Sobaek range from there. The Mokpo ports play a vital role as it's the major fishing port in the city and it connects a lot of other ports as well. The climate is very pleasing and one should visit just for the weather conditions here. You can enjoy the walk along the harbor side, which is located actually within the city borders, and relax on a sunny day. The fresh seafood you get there is a delicacy to many. What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
