Slovenia's second largest city, Maribor, is situated in the north east of the country close to the border with Austria. The city is well known for wine production and is surrounded by green hills and vineyards and the old town centre is full of interesting attractions and provides a diverse mix of recreation, entertainment and relaxation.

The city boasts a beautiful, tranquil centre called Lent with the River Drava running through it. This waterfront location is made up of small avenues lined with quaint coffee shops, restaurants and bars. For a complete change you and make use of cheap car hire in Maribor and head for Slovenia's biggest ski resort, Pohorje, and have a go at night skiing.

Also in Lent are many of the city's old buildings that include the cathedral, the castle and the town hall. A visit isn't complete without seeing the Old Vine that is in the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest in the world and a drive with car hire in Maribor to the top the wine growing hills, Piramida and Kalvarija, for some terrific views.

Travelling around the area and to other destinations using car rental in Maribor is easy as the city has some excellent road links. You are only a few minutes away from the border with Austria and can reach Zagreb in about two hours. Although limited flights operate to Maribor Airport the main airport is about an hour away by car in Ljubljana.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
