With its interesting sights and its great transport links, the city of Bacau in east Romania is a great place for visitors wanting to really get under the skin of the country. It is virtually impossible to get lost on the linear structure of the city's roads, so exploring the area by car hire in Bacau is by far the best option.

The city is great for shopaholics with a bit of holiday spending money to spare, with the largest mall in the Moldova area, the Arena Mall, easily reached by cheap car hire in Bacau. This is also where the town's hypermarkets are located.

One of the only remaining historical buildings in the city, the 1926 Bacovia Theater, is also worth a look, as is the 1491 Precista Church. The city is easily navigated, at only 12 miles from end to end, and has free parking throughout.

Car rental in Bacau also allows the adventurous traveller to explore further, with the capital city of Bucharest just three hours away along the E85 express way. There are also good roads to Botosani, Brasov, Vaslui and Iasi and a nice road, that runs around the city that leads to Transylvania.

The city is served by Bacau Airport, which has daily flights from Bucharest and Timisoara and less frequent flights from from Italian cities. There is also a good train station close to the city centre with links to Romania's central hubs.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
