I phoned to change the

I phoned to change the time for pick up and return of the car. It was not a good experience. I was told I could not do it and encouraged to book an up grade. I wanted to change my booking and return by 4 hours from 10.00am to 2.oo pm. I was told it was not possible to change it. I was told a car would not be available. I said I would take the risk and ended up in cancelling my booking and then re booking on line. Not helpful. I almost did not use your site to re book.

Port Moresby Airport is located 8 km from Papua New Guinea's capital city. The terminal is the hub of Air Niugini's domestic services to cities such as Lae, Kavieng, Rabaul and Mount Haven. International flights are offered to destinations in Oceania and Asia. Regularly scheduled services are provided to: Australia, Japan and the Philippines.

The airport has a number of shops and restaurants as well as a tourist information centre. Car hire may be booked from: Sec 37, Lot 10.at the hotel. While public buses and taxis are available at the airport, this may be an expensive and time-consuming option.

Booking your car hire is easy as long as you have a credit card, driving license and passport. The road network within Port Moresby is by far the easiest to travel within Papua New Guinea. Roads are well-paved and sign-posted, unlike many parts of the island.

Port Moresby offers some of the island's best accommodation, restaurants and hotels. In your car hire, you may wish to take in some of the city's fantastic attractions.

In the city centre, you can visit the National Museum and Art Gallery which houses a large collection of cultural artifacts. It can be found on the slopes of Independence Hill. Nearby, the Botanical Gardens offer opportunities to view native birds, including birds of paradise and casowaris.

Those looking for breathtaking views should head up Touaguba Hill in their car hire. Its peak offers an excellent vantage point which takes in views of the city centre and coastline. This affluent area is home to many foreign dignitaries and ex-pats. A short drive from here is the exclusive Port Moresby Yacht Club. Neighbouring Port Moresby Golf Club offers golfing with a bit of a bite as it is said its water holes are home to native crocodiles.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
