I extended the rental period

I extended the rental period with 2 extra days with Budget without any problems. However it proved impossible to extend the extra insurance I had taken out from Traveljigsaw (using carrentals.co.uk) with 2 days to cover the extra days. Disappointing!

Deventer is located in the Overijssel province of the Salland region on the river Ijssel. If you want to visit this city for your holiday, then there are few things that you should go see, why not hire a car and really maximise your visit.

The Bolwerks Mill is a cool place to see, which was constructed after Frank and Abraham Elfrink asked the Stadholder for permission to construct a mill in 1861. The mill continued to be used until 1927 when the miller began working somewhere else. Then the mill was used for a warehouse. Blades and the Cane were substituted in the 1950s, and there was more reconstruction done in the 1970s by the Bolwerks Mill Foundation. The is an active mill again today.

The Etty Hillesum Centre is a place that celebrates a Jewish woman's life that went by the same name. She passed away in 1943 in Auschwitz, but she lived in the town from 1924 to 1932. Etty Hillesum started a diary at the age of 27, and she went through a spiritual journey, becoming very religious, during the 2 years that she kept it. The Centre has a lot of her writings and exhibits on spiritual subjects like racism and tolerance.

The 15th century church, Lebuinuskerk, is located near the Weigh House (Waag) in the city. Its Gothic construction is impressive and is a reminder that stands for the wealth at the time. It has a vaulted ceiling that is intricately decorated, windows with high arches, and 3 massive aisles. There are many medieval murals on the walls in the nave, and although they are faded, you can still see the skillful and intricate design.
