Driving

Since Parma’s airport is just a mile from the city centre, it’s almost feasible to walk. But Andromeda’s operates large buses that ferry most arriving passengers to their destination. This bus waits for each arriving flight, and taxis are usually waiting. Car hire is another excellent option for getting around Parma, with three major companies located directly at the airport. It takes just 10 to 15 minutes to reach any destination in the city.
Trains
Parma’s train station is located about three miles from the airport. It is connected to the main railway line between Milan (£6) and Bologna (£4), with many useful destinations available on the Trenitalia trains, like direct links to Florence (£15). Bus number 6 runs from the airport to the train station, or taxis are available.
Taxis
Taxis typically queue up in front of the airport’s terminal for each arriving flight. If none are waiting, the airport’s information desk can call for a pick up any time of day.

Buses
It is possible to take the Parma public bus number 6 from the airport to various locations around the city including the train terminal. This bus stops frequently at the terminal throughout the day between 06:00 and 20:00, and fares are around £1. The other option is the private coach run by Andromeda’s. It comes to meet each arriving flight and costs around £5.
Terminals
The small but pleasant terminal at Parma Airport has only basic facilities, with a single café on either side of security and an ATM. Ryanair runs the most popular flight into Parma from London-Stansted with another flight to Trapani. There is also regular service to Tirana on Belle Air and Catania on Air Vallee. Around 270,000 people fly into the airport annually.
Parking
Parma Airport has a single car park adjacent to the terminal that is open from 05:30 until midnight each day. The first 15 minutes are free. After that, the rates are £1 for up to 60 minutes, £2 for up to three hours, £7 for up to eight hours and £12 for a 24-hour period. There are no advanced parking reservations, and payment can be made by cash, credit card or debit card.
