Located in the northern part of Italy, the city of Vicenza stands out among the neighboring locales and towns. Located about 60 kilometers east of Venice, Vicenza City is a place surrounded by numerous churches which are very serene and sacred to the eye. Although the city is not that big and industrial such as the cities of Milan and Rome, Vicenza is a note-worthy place where one can spend his or her day while strolling around the ancient and gothic atmosphere of Vicenza.

There are many places which one can visit while inside the city. The first one would be the Palladiana Basilica. This basilica is named after the Italian architect Andrea Palladio who made great contributions in art during the Renaissance period. Located inside the Piazza de Signori, the Basilica is a great place where one can admire the blessings that Palladio have given to the said church.

Another place to visit is the Monte Berico Basilica, a church dating back from the 18th century. What makes this Basilica stand out among the rest is that it is located in the top of a hill in the borders of the city. One can not only adore the church structure but also the views which can be seen on several decks. The whole city of Vicenza and other neighboring place can be viewed at a good vantage point. Aside from this, many also visit the place because it is believed that the Virgin Mary made two miraculous appearances on this place.

There are also several museums which one can visit. There is a museum dedicated for local arts and exhibits while there are also some which features the excavated artifacts from the place itself. Vicenza is a great place where one can stay for a day or two. Witnessing the churches and museums in the place would never be an ordinary experience because each spot has its own colorful history and story behind it.
