Madonna di Campiglio is a small village located in Trentino, Italy. This village only has 700 residents. Despite the size and population, Madonna di Campiglio is one of the most popular ski resorts in the area. This quaint village has often hosted the Alpine Skiing World Cup event. Because of this well-known ski resort, Madonna di Campiglio has grown as a village. Originally, there was only one small hotel located in the center of town. With the popularity of the ski resort, the village has expanded and has developed more hotels and small eating resorts to accommodate visitors. Some of these new hotels, such as the Spinale Club Hotel, have a ski lift right outside the back door!

Madonna di Campiglio is densely occupied during ski season. Many visitors have to find lodging in nearby towns. Though there are numerous hotels now in Madonna, they often cannot accommodate the large amount of people. Visitors often have to get a car hire and travel to these beautiful slopes each day. While it is nice to have the convenience of a ski lift out the back door, having a vehicle will also have benefits. The Trentino countryside is stunning. This is when a car hire comes in handy. There are many nearby towns that have historic sites, as well as fine dining. Because Madonna is so small, most people will travel outside of the village for a good meal. Before Lent, there is a festival called Carnevale. The village hosts costume balls and special events during this time. Visitors are able to enjoy the Italian culture during these festivities.
