Car rentals are great. Love the website, easy to use, great offers and if cancel 48hrs before always get money back. Love car rentals and will use again/always use. I’ll just avoid Italy car rent as worst experience ever had hiring a car and done it loads over the years.

Imola Guide

Imola, Italy is a quaint town in the province of Bologna. It is home to more than 66,000 people. Imola is located on the north-central region of Italy, on the Santerno River. Its history stretches back to ancient times, when it was once known as Forum Cornelii in 82 BCE. Since then, Imola has been a place of important marriages, invasions, and people that have attained fame for being leaders and martyrs.

If you are looking for an adventure in Italy, get a car hire and explore the beautiful countryside of the region. There are many castles and old landmarks to visit, such as the Rocca Sforzesca or the Palazzo Tozzoni. Both were built in the sixteenth century. The Communal palaces feature a fresco depicting Clement VII and Charles V passing through the city in the fourteenth century.

Imola is a great place to visit to see Formula One San Marino Grand Prix. Though the race is named after the town of San Marino, it is too small to hold a large race, so it is located in Imola. You can also visit the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, the auto racing circuit where the Grand Prix takes place. It is a non-oval circuit that is used anti-clockwise during races, which is uncommon. If you love Ferraris, the Ferrari factory in Maranello is not far away.

The city has also won some awards, including Medaglia d'Oro al Valor Militare (Gold Purple Heart) in 1984 because of the city's participation in the Italian resistance movement. In 1971, the city won the Gold Merit Badge of the Art and Culture School.

If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.
