What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

Campobasso is a beautiful province of nearly 3000 square kms, with stunning scenery, surrounded by the Fortore and Voulturno rivers in the Region Molise in Italy. This region has so many attractions to visit.

Travel to the Castello Monforte (Montforte castle) which has six standing towers, or visit the archaeological museum of the Samnite people, located in a former medieval building.

If you are ever in Campobasso then make sure you see the Santa Maria Della Croce (Saint Mary of the Cross). This church was destroyed nearly to oblivion by two different earthquakes in 1348 and 1805, and what makes this church relevant is the dome, unique in all Campobasso, and the most beautiful of the entire region of Molise.

San Leonardo and Santa Maria del Monte (Saint Mary of the Mount) are three medieval churches, that are a 'must see' during your stay. These churches are still a place of worship, so do be careful when you visit and dress accordingly (no shorts, short skirts, belly button length tops or Bermudas are allowed).

If you choose to visit Campobasso at the time of the Holy days, you will be able to participate in the Misteri, the local representation of the Aprehension, Calvary and Death of Christ.
