Car rentals are great. Love the website, easy to use, great offers and if cancel 48hrs before always get money back. Love car rentals and will use again/always use. I’ll just avoid Italy car rent as worst experience ever had hiring a car and done it loads over the years.

Bressanone Guide

Brixen, Bressanone in Italian, is a town in the northern Italian Alps. Bressanone is adjacent to the A22/E45 motorway which starts in Modena and travels all the way to the Austrian border 40kms north of Bressanone. Car hire in Bressanone is perfect for exploring the photogenic natural attractions in the region.

Although Bressanone is in Italy, as it is so close to the Austrian border its residents are predominantly German speakers. The town's cathedral (duomo) is the focal point of the town and contains a good choice of accommodation, caf?�s and restaurants in its vicinity.

Car rental in Bressanone is provided by both national and international companies. Bressanone is at the confluence of the River Eisack and the River Rienz. Apart from the duomo other sights in this area include the Pharmacy Museum, housed in a wonderful historic structure, the 13th century Renaissance Bishop's Palace and San Michele Church.

Car hire in Bressanone is the way to reach the enchanting Reifenstein Castle (Castel Tasso), 30kms up the A22. This is one of several splendid castles in the area. Meandering mountain roads in the region possess scenic viewpoints and access to some of the resorts that are popular with skiers in winter.

Fortezza is just north of Bressanone and has a gigantic fort which in olden days guarded access to the Eisaack Valley. Bolzano, south of Bressanone contains an archaeology museum, housing Otzi the Iceman, as well as numerous dining and entertainment establishments.
