Bit disappointed to find the

Bit disappointed to find the rental company was not on the airport as promised, but a 5 minute walk up the road to the petrol station. Not an accurate description.

The web site works very

The web site works very well, but when you tried to phone there is no way to speak with anybody, particularly at the time we picked up the car as we were out of the office hours. I believe you should have a local agent to contact at the time to pick up the car, that it is the moment when problems can appear.

Plakias Guide

The small town of Plakias on Crete has grown over the last few decades into a quiet and friendly tourist resort town. Only 50 years ago it was home to just a handful of fishermen that plied their trade in the Libyan Sea. Today it is still serene with ample amount of amenities.

Car hire in Plakias can take you along the single road that takes you along with beach on one side and hotels, bars and restaurants on the other. There is small harbour and from here visitors can charter a boat to ferry them to more secluded beach that are hard to reach by land.

The town is backed by rolling hills and is popular among walkers in the cooler months of April and May, this also the time when the countryside is full of colour. Many trekking sites can be reached by car rental in Plakias so there is an alternative to getting back if it gets to hot.

For a small town there are no shortage of restaurants to choose from most serving international dishes and local food. For a more authentic head to Myrthios in a cheap car hire in Plakias. It is only a few short miles away and has some local tavernas offering traditional dishes.

There are many great things to do on the island of Crete and it is a large island to travel around. The roads are largely well maintained and safe to travel but some routes do go onto unsealed roads that can be dangerous during bad weather.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?

Only rental companies with a high level of customer satisfaction are eligible to be included in our Worry-Free selection. This rate includes excess cover and unlimited kilometres. Your vehicle will be provided and must be returned with a full tank of fuel. With a vehicle from our Worry-Free selection, you can travel with peace of mind and no hidden costs.

 How can I change or cancel my reservation?

You can cancel your reservation through "My Account". We recommend contacting us by phone if your changes to your booking or cancellation takes place at short notice (48 hours or less).

Most reservations will receive confirmation within minutes after payment takes place. We recommend contacting our Booking Department for last minute reservations (pick-up within 48 hours).
