Bit disappointed to find the rental company was not on the airport as promised, but a 5 minute walk up the road to the petrol station. Not an accurate description.

The web site works very well, but when you tried to phone there is no way to speak with anybody, particularly at the time we picked up the car as we were out of the office hours. I believe you should have a local agent to contact at the time to pick up the car, that it is the moment when problems can appear.

Kokkini Hani Guide

The resort area of Kokkini Hani, which is also spelled Kokkini Chani, is located on the Greek island of Crete just a 14km drive away by car rental in Kokkini Hani from Heraklion, where Crete's biggest and busiest airport is situated.

In the early 20th century, Kokkini Hani became a popular place for farmers to eat and rest on their way to the Heraklion market. A hani was an inn where both people and animals could spend the night. Kokkini Hani's name is no less appropriate today, even though modern beachfront hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops have replaced traditional hanis.

Companies which offer cheap car hire in Kokkini Hani include Anna Cars, Inter Hellas, Olympic, Soultatos SA, and The Best. Many of the numerous hotels lining Kokkini Hani's shoreline also feature car rental desks.

Kokkini Hani's beaches along Crete's north shore are the main attractions for most visitors, and Kokkini Hani's main beach is 400m long, 50m wide, and filled with soft, smooth sand. This main beach, however, does get crowded, especially on Wednesdays, when residents from nearby Heraklion arrive, and weekends.

Most of the less crowded alternatives to Kokkini Hani's main beach have pebbled shorelines, but the best beach in the area is said to be located in front of Themis Hotel. The shoreline on this beach is smooth and sandy. The area's nightlife is fairly tame compared to nearby Hersonissos, not far away with car hire in Kokkini Hani Crete.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.

 What is a worry-free label?
