Bit disappointed to find the

Bit disappointed to find the rental company was not on the airport as promised, but a 5 minute walk up the road to the petrol station. Not an accurate description.

The web site works very

The web site works very well, but when you tried to phone there is no way to speak with anybody, particularly at the time we picked up the car as we were out of the office hours. I believe you should have a local agent to contact at the time to pick up the car, that it is the moment when problems can appear.

Elounda Guide

Cheap car hire in Elounda is found on the eastern part of Crete on the north coast. It is a small fishing town that is around 50 miles from the main airport in Heraklion and takes up to one hour and a half to reach. The view from the mountain top as travellers come down into the town is picturesque.

The beach at the Elounda has been awarded the blue flag for its cleanliness and is great to laze on for a day. Within easy walking distance the town square offers a variety of small eateries and bars to pass the slow afternoons in.

At the port tourist can take a boat trip out to the nearby island of Spinalonga, which was once used as a leper colony. A steep street to the north of town offer more for tourists and even has a couple of nightclubs that are mainly open in the summer months.

Just a few miles south is the city of Aghios Nikolaos which is major port town taking in commercial liners as well as private yachts. Much of the city was built around the harbour and its small inland lake that feeds into the sea. Driving in a car rental at Elounda should take no longer than 20 minutes to get there.

Crete has some fascinating sights to see across the island from ancient Venetian ruins and castles protecting cities from attack and beaches that are hidden in tiny coves only accessible by foot. For all this adventure it is best to travel by car hire in Elounda to avoid missing anything.

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
