By air
Heraklion is the nearest international airport to Agios Nikolaos, located only a short 52 minute car ride. It is also referred to as Nikos Kazantzakis Airport, and is the second largest airport in Greece.

By car
Agios Nikolaos is easily reachable by car. If you are arriving at Heraklion Airport or Port and have a rental car then you will need to head west, merging onto the E75, and then drive all the way to Agios Nikolaos.
By bus
Frequent buses service the area and offer cheap connections to and from Heraklion and Sitia, which also have airports and ports.
By boat
There are a number of ferries operating to Heraklion Port from the mainland. Sitia also has a port and is an hours drive away.
