Frankfurt Hahn Airport, previously an American military airport, receives approximately four million passengers annually, flying to destinations in more than 12 countries. The largest scheduled airline is the budget Irish airline, Ryanair, which has 19 destinations. There is one main terminal building with numerous facilities to cater for its high passenger numbers. Airport Facilities

From the end of 2004, there will be just one main terminal at the airport, with more space for shops and food.

Volksbank is currently located in Terminal 1 and has an ATM and currency exchange facility.

The Airport offers its passengers many shops and restaurants which are located in Terminal 1, including; Sunflight Optics, a hair salon, Gusto Wine and Delicacies, souvenir shops and a duty-free shop.

A business conference centre is located 1,500m from the terminals and has ample parking. There are eight seminar rooms with standard equipment, four seminar rooms with IT equipment, a cafeteria, and an assembly hall for larger events.

Facilities at the airport cater for the disabled; additionally, passengers with restricted mobility can park free of charge at car park P1 on presentation of an authorized aG, H or BL certificate.

The short term parking area is in front of the Departures terminal and the long term parking, P2 - P8, is next to the terminal. There is a free shuttle bus to all parking areas from 05:00 to 01:00 every day. Spaces cannot be booked in advance.

Transport

Frankfurt Hahn Airport is quite a long way out of Frankfurt itself, but it is central to Frankfurt, Ludwigshafen, Cologne and Luxembourg and is fairly easy to reach.
