Friedrichshafen Airport, also known as Bodensee Airport, is a small regional airport on the north shore of Lake Constance, about three kilometres from the centre of Friedrichshafen.
There are several airlines operating flights between Friedrichshafen Airport and other German airports as well as low-cost flights to and from London Stansted. The airlines that serve the airport include Condor, Hahn Air Lines, Hapag Lloyd, InterSky, Lufthansa, Ryanair and Sunexpress.
Friedrichshafen Airport features a full-range of facilities. The airport shop is located between the Arrivals and Departures terminals. Here, you can find newspapers, magazines, books, travel guides, telephone cards, postcards, games and many travel items as well as jewellery. A variety of restaurants and bars can be found scattered throughout the airport, while ATMs, a bank and bureaux de change are situated in the Departures area in the main terminal building.
Halbhuber Panorama, the restaurant on the first floor, offers special services for Christmas parties and business meals. Live jazz, disco and other performances are also held here in the evenings.
The airport also boasts a T-Mobile hotspot wireless LAN internet connection, featuring hassle-free, high-speed connection.

To & From
Getting to the airport is easy and convenient, as the airport is located only three kilometres from the city centre, with the journey between the city and the airport taking about 10 minutes by car. The best route to the airport is via the Autobahn A81. Turn onto the Autobahn A98 until you reach the Bundesstrasse B31 turn off. From here, simply follow the signposts to the airport.
There are both short-term and long-term car parks located within walking distance of the terminal, while special parking spaces for passengers with disabilities are also provided.
Taxi services are available at the taxi rank located directly in front of the Arrivals area. Taxis are obliged to use meters, but for longer journey, passengers might be able to negotiate a fixed price with the driver.
By train, the airport train station, Friedrichshafen Flughafen, is situated directly opposite the terminal building. The train connects the airport station to Central Station Friedrichshafen and Harbour, Ravensburg and Aulendorf stations.
There are a number of buses that provide service from the bus stop located outside the Arrivals area, with services operating to neighbouring areas and major nearby cities such as Voralberg, Tirol, Liechenstein, Dornbirn and Lindau.
