Visit the Pancratius church during your visit, as it is the oldest church in Iserlohn. In 1237 Iserlohn was given municipal rights by the Count of Mark and then during 1975 Iserlohn joined with other ex-municipalities of Hennen, Sümmern, Letmathe and Kesbern, and formed part of the district of Märkischer Kreis.

In 1868, during the building of the railway, an underground cave was discovered, and some 360 metres have been made accessible to the public. It is truly a spectacular site, with numerous stalactites! Definitely not to be missed, so make sure you have enough time to see it before leaving.

A tour of the city must include a visit to the Town museum, Art galleries, historical factory buildings of Maste-Barendorf, and the exclusive German needle museum, Dechenhöhle which is the largest dripstone, Danz tower, Johanneskirche, Waldlehrpfad and a museum of Speleology.
