In Gruenstadt you can visit a winery in the romantic suburbs of Asselheim and Sausenherm and find renowned winemakers and vineyards. Gruenstadt was first mentioned in the National Library of Paris storage Latin text November 21, 875. From the early Middle Ages, the city was established near old Roman roads. Housing located in town, was traditionally in Barogue style. A Gothic-baroque church museum is the city's landmark. Focus of development in recent years was industry, housing and tourism.

Located at the intersection of the federal highway A6, Guenstadt is easy to connect to. The closes airport is MHG in Mannheim City, located 27.3km southeast of Grunstadt. Car rental is available from a station at Frankfurt Airport, which is just and hour away.

In town, the pedestrian zone has various events that take place. The monument, the Grotto, and the pavilion are landmarks in the city park. Known as sports town, there are a number of energizing activities to enjoy. To help you unwind, visit the heated spas and modern saunas. A special attraction is a big carnival parade held in the streets of the inner city. This takes place in February. On the 4th of July weekend is the Gruenstadt Wine Festival.
