A great getaway is Gruenberg. Nestled in rolling hills of the western slopes of Vogelberg is a small town that is close enough to its larger neighbor, yet far removed to remain a tranquil and relaxing destination for vacationers. Created in 1822, fittingly German for green mountain, this town boasts of 300-400 year-old pretty timbered medieval houses. Its main river is the Lahn, which crosses the district north to south. Rogue towers, castles, historic fountain art (1419), where fresh spring water is supplied are some of its structures of beauty. The historical framework of the town hall is at the market place Gueberg, Hesse, Germany. The city is known as specialized work with its many medieval monuments, historic hospital building, and town museum.
