Toulon Airport is perfectly located for those wanting to visit Hyéres, a stunning resort on southeastern France’s Riviera. Also known as Toulon-Hyéres Airport or Aéroport de Toulon-Hyéres in French, the facility is located less than two miles from Hyéres, making it easy for visitors to use car hire in Toulon Airport to access the city. Who to Book With
There is a wide selection of car rental companies located within the airport. They offer a selection of vehicles and allow you to book in advance. Avis, Sixt and Europcar all have offices, along with Hertz, Budget and National. Cars can be picked up in front of the terminal.

- Both parts of a valid driver’s licence

Driving
Driving is on the right and you must carry your driving licence, along with the rental vehicle information, with you at all times when driving in France. It is also a requirement to carry both a warning triangle and a reflective jacket in the vehicle for use in the event of a breakdown. These items must be kept inside the car, not in the boot. Seatbelts must be worn at all times by all passengers, both in the front and back seats. On-the-spot fines can be given to anyone found driving without a seatbelt. Fines are also issued for anyone found to be using a mobile phone while driving. Motorway tolls are in use across France. Some can be paid for using a credit card; however, it is best to carry change just in case. The toll roads are well-maintained and well signposted, but a road map can come in handy on lesser routes.

Transport

Buses connect the airport with Toulon railway station but services cease at around 19:30. Late arrivals are left with the option of hiring a taxi or availing of car hire.

Trains
Although there are not direct services from the airport to the rest of France, the Reseau Mistral Line, both 63 and 102, has services to the stations in Hyéres and Toulon, where it is possible to board connecting trains to the surrounding areas. There are over 30 trains daily.

Taxis
A regular taxi service is located directly outside the main terminal. A number of taxis service the airport and all vehicles are well maintained, with air conditioning standard.

Toulon Airport to Toulon is about £30
Toulon Airport to Marseille is about £45

Buses
There is an airport shuttle directly to both Hyéres and Toulon. The service to Hyéres takes around 10 minutes and costs about £1.50. The bus journey to Toulon, via Toulon railway station, takes around 30 minutes and costs £3 per person one-way. The airport shuttle waits for delayed flights; however, it is not a 24-hour service.

Terminals
There is one terminal in the airport where passengers will find both arrivals and departures. Recent infrastructure work has ensured that the airport is able to keep up with demand. A number of budget airlines, such as EasyJet, now charter flights here, meaning it has never been easier to experience the delights of southeastern France.

Parking
E-parking offers the majority of the parking services at the airport. It offers a wide variety of packages for customers wishing to leave their vehicles at the airport. There is both long-stay and short-stay options. Parking is secure and available 24 hours. There are also a number of disabled persons’ bays.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi is available in the Departures lounge.

Information Services
Information booths are located in both the Arrivals and Departures sections of the terminal. Here, passengers can find information on local events, hotel reservations and transport.

Accessibility
The airport is fully accessible for those with reduced mobility. There are numerous lifts and ramps throughout the terminal, along with wheelchair hire, disabled persons’ toilets and priority boarding. For help with any of these services, speak to the information desk.

Restaurants and Bars
Trib’s snack bar-brasserie is on hand to cater to passengers’ dining needs. It is open from 05:30 to 23:00 Monday to Saturday and 07:30 to 23:00 Sunday.

Money and ATMs
There are ATMs located throughout the terminal, such as next to the Arrivals and Departures boards. These ATMs only distribute euro; however, there are exchange facilities in both the Arrivals and Departures area for anyone requiring these facilities.

Shopping
There is a large duty-free shop, Ponshop, where customers can purchase items such as tobacco, spirits, beers, confectionery and cosmetics. There is also a Relay newsagent and an outlet of La Provence for local souvenirs.
