A small but ample facility serving the magnificent Brittany coastline in France, Dindar St Malo Airport is also known as Dinard–Pleurtuit–Saint-Malo Airport and more recently Dinard Brittany Airport. Passengers arriving here should consider the fantastic convenience of car hire, which can provide fast and easy transport to area attractions including the captivating walled city in St Malo (seven miles away) and the stunning beaches surrounding the lovely boulevards of Dinard (three and a half miles away). However, some travellers may prefer equally convenient (but very expensive) transport via taxi service.

The following rental firms offer car hire at Dinard St Malo Airport: Hertz, Europcar, National/Citier and Avis. Rental counters can be easily located in the Arrivals area of the passenger terminal.

Driving
Those driving in and around Dinard and St Malo will find road conditions and traffic regulations similar to elsewhere in Western Europe. French rules now require breathalyser kits in all vehicles. Traffic fines are issued on the spot Parking can be fairly difficult, particularly in the centre of St Malo. Parking regulations are heavily enforced.

Transport

Compared to most other airports in the region, ground transport options are very limited at Dinard St Malo Airport. The facility lacks public transport links, although taxis are on offer. Alternatively, hire cars offer extra freedom and much better value for money.

Trains
There is no rail link directly to Dinard St Malo Airport. The closest station is located in central St Malo at the end of Av Saint Martin. It can be reached from the airport via taxi in about 20 minutes. Some TGV trains are available to Paris, whilst slower trains are on offer to Rennes and other destinations. Visit SNCF for details.

Taxis
Look for the designated taxi pick-up area to the left of the Arrivals doors. It takes around 10 minutes to reach Dinard and about 20 minutes to access St Malo by taxi from the airport. Payment can be made via credit card.

Buses
There are currently no bus services to and from the airport. However, public bus services are available within in St Malo via Keolis; refer to Keolis for schedules and ticket information.

Facilities

Terminals
There is only one terminal building at Dinard St Malo Airport. The facility is situated on the east side of the runways, just off of route D64 near the town of Pleurtuit.

Parking
Dinard St Malo Airport offers 300 parking spaces in the outdoor (uncovered) car park directly opposite the terminal building. Rates start at about £2 for up to two hours and climb to around £12 for 24 hours plus an additional £7 for each additional day. Those with long-term needs can make use of the underground (covered) garage; monthly passes are available for about £140.

Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi access is not available in the airport at this time.

Information Services
Passengers can get general information at the desk located at the Ryanair counter in the passenger terminal. The counter is open every day from 09:00 until the last flight of the day.

Accessibility
Dinard St Malo Airport is fully compliant with the EU’s 2008 reduced mobility regulations. Assistance is free to all passengers. Those with special needs and reduced mobility are encouraged arrange assistance with their tour agency or airline prior to travel. There are several designated parking spaces available in the main (outdoor) car park.

Restaurants and Bars
Hungry travellers can head to the Bar Resto de l’Aéroport on the 1st floor of the terminal building for full-service dining and a full bar with excellent views of the airfield. The restaurant is open every day, although the kitchen is closed between 14:30 and 15:45.

VIP Lounges
There are currently no VIP lounges available at Dinard St Malo Airport.

Money and ATMs
ATMs and banking services are not currently available at the airport. Passengers are advised to take care of money matters before setting out or they can do so in Dinard or St Malo proper.

Shopping
Travellers should aware that there are no shops or newsstands at Dinard St Malo Airport, so be sure bring along your own travel essentials. Head to the restaurant upstairs for food and beverages.
