Located in the region of Perigord, the town of Perigueux is situated on the bank of the river Isle. The town has a long and interesting history dating back to Roman times, with medieval architecture. The Perigueux Rail Station is a short distance from the centre of town.

You can arrive at the Perigueux Rail Station from all over France, starting at the north, and then heading to the south and along the west coast. Trains also travel across the Spanish, Belgium, Swiss and Italian borders, which makes exploring the surrounding areas easily achieved.

The Perigueux Rail Station is small and houses the basic facilities such as toilets, ATMs, newsagents and vending machines. Being so close to town, there are many restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance of the station.

The town has medieval ruins, including the Chateau Barriere near some old amphitheatre ruins. With many charming French hotels, fine dining restaurants and alfresco cafés, the town of Perigueux has much to offer its guests.
