Situated in the Tarn-et-Garonne department, Montauban is a picturesque little town in southwestern France. It is within easy driving distance of other places of interest such as Toulouse and Bziers. The Montauban Rail Station, also known as Montauban Ville Bourbon, provides easy access to the region for local and international visitors.

Montauban Rail Station is a relatively busy station, maintaining connections with destinations that include Paris, Toulouse, Agen, Cahors, Brive, Marseille and Cerbere. From Paris the Atlantic TGV service arrives at Montauban in 4 hours and 45 minutes.

The Montauban Rail Station is open from 5:00 am to 12:00 Midnight every day and until 2:15 am on Friday. Passenger facilities are basic and include waiting areas, toilets, public telephones, vending machines and automatic ticket machines. A small open air car park provides free short term parking for up to 30 vehicles.

For transportation to and from the Montauban Rail Station there are public buses and taxis outside the building. A good alternative is to hire a car and make your own way to the town at your convenience. Car rental services at the station are provided by Avis.
