The historic city of Dijon is located in the French Burgundy region. Formerly the capital city of the Dukes of Burgundy, the city still retains much of its former grandeur. High speed TGV rail service allows quick and efficient travel from the city to Paris and Lille. The Dijon Train Station is conveniently located a short walk from the downtown area.

The Dijon Rail Station is undergoing renovations to improve the parking and the concourse outside the train station. The renovation project will result in a much more pedestrian friendly environment, simpler parking and improved accessibility for physically handicapped passengers.

The new amenities will provide car hire services, cycle parking, taxi ranks, bus stops, and 70 short stay car parking spaces near the concourse along with a modern, three storey parking facility. All of this will be completed by the end of December 2008. Until the project is complete, passengers might experience some inconvenience.
