Douai is located in northern France directly on the rive Scarpe. Douai has a rich history dating back possibly to the 4th century. It is also famous for possessing one of Frances richest coalfields. Car hire in Douai will enable you to explore the past and present of this intriguing town.

In Douai the town is the most bustling around either place d'Armes or rue de la Mairie near where the Gothic Belfry sits. Douai's other famous church is the church of Notre Dame, extensively rebuilt and repaired this spectacular church has been restored with great care. The chapel adjacent to the museum which has been converted, houses a fantastic collections of sculptures. Epernay is a fantastic town; it is easy to dive around making car rental in Douai worthwhile.
