Amiens Railway Station is directly connected to Paris (1 hour, 10 minutes) to the south and Lille to the north hourly, with further direct connections with Boulogne to the west and Reims to the east being less frequent.

Visitors from the UK can access Amiens by taking the Eurostar from London Waterloo Station to Lille or Paris, and then a connecting train to Amiens Railway Station. Alternatively, ferry passengers from Dover, UK can access Amiens by train from the French port towns of Calais or Boulogne.

Amiens is not on the high-speed TGV line, and is instead served by slower Corail and TER services. The rail station at Amiens has adequate facilities for passengers including cheap car hire services which can be booked in advance online.

In Amiens, visitors can enjoy the stunning Gothic 13th century cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its impressive faeade and creative sculpture. The Hortillonages, gardens crisscrossed by small picturesque canals, also make for pleasant sightseeing.
