Be sure to visit the stunning Lara Beach, which is the nesting sights of loggerhead turtles. Visitors may lucky enough to get a glimpse of these beautiful turtles as they lay their eggs under the moon light, during the summer months. The impressive canyon of Avakas Gorge is located nearby. For a glimpse of traditional village life, Kathikas in the Akamas Heights offers local produce, crafts and authentic taverns.
Paphos International Airport, located 50kms from Polis, is the most convenient hub for those arriving by air and is served by several major airlines from Europe.
