Graz Airport is located about 10kms from the city of Graz, in Austria. The airport is small but very modern, equipped with a full range of facilities for passengers. There is only one terminal, which serves both international and domestic flights to major nearby cities including Vienna, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, Düsseldorf and Zurich. A popular choice of transport by the majority of visitors to Graz Airport is car hire. Please book car hire at Graz Airport in advance of travelling, so to secure a car and also reduce queues at the airport. Airport Facilities
There are several shopping areas in the airport if you wish to kill time while waiting for your flight. The Airport Shop has many special offers for departing passengers in the Departures Hall. If you have forgotten anything for your holiday there is a Duty Free Shop or Travel Value, located next to the security check-point.
Relax and enjoy a drink or bite to eat at 'Airest Graz Airport Restaurant'. There are newsagents, tobacconists and ATMs scattered around the airport.
The Business Centre, situated on the first floor, offers impressive facilities. There are four seminar rooms for different purposes. The fourth seminar room, with stunning views from the terrace that overlooks the runways, is the biggest and is equipped with multimedia equipment, a mobile control panel, DVD and video players, as well as satellite TV. All technical equipment can be used without charge.
The airport gallery, 'Galerie am Flughafen', on the first floor of the new Departures Hall, displays interesting artwork exhibitions which are changed every two months. The bustling Departures Hall can also be seen from here.
Disabled-friendly, Graz Airport provides large doors for people in wheelchairs as well as telephones on level one of the terminal. The toilets are also equipped with facilities for those with special needs.
With more than 2,200 parking spaces available at Graz Airport, as well as parking spaces for people with disabilities, the airport caters to passengers needs and tries to ensure that everyone can find a parking space. There are automatic payment machines available for the payment of parking fees.
Transport
By bus
There are public bus services provided to take you from the airports train station to Graz Central Train Station, from where you can connect to city destinations or other neighbouring areas. The bus stop is located right in front of the passenger terminal.
By train
You can also take a train to the city centre from Graz Airport to Feldkirchen Station, which is only 300 metres from the terminal. Alternatively, taxis are aplenty at the taxi stand in front of the Arrivals area. The taxi ride to the city takes about 15 to 20 minutes.
By car
Driving to the airport is very easy. If you are coming from the south along the A9, turn off at the Kalsdorf exit towards the airport and follow the signs, taking a turn left to the airport.
If you are travelling along the A9 route from north to south, take the exit sign posted Graz West at the traffic junction, onto the A2, and this will take you to Wien. Exit this road at Flughafen Graz Feldkirchen onto the A2.
If you are travelling northwards along the A2, take the exit sign posted Flughafen Graz and this will take you to Feldkirchen. If you are travelling on the B67 from the north on Triester strasse, take the road out of town to Feldkirchen. Follow the signs and turn right towards the airport.
