Driving
The South Carolina speed limit on interstate highways is 70mph, unless the highway passes through an urban area, in which case speed limit becomes 60mph. Within built-up areas and central business districts, the speed limit is only 30mph. All persons within a moving vehicle on any South Carolina road need to wear a seatbelt. There are a few parking spots in town, many of which become occupied quickly during the high tourist season in summer. It's recommended that you book a waterfront hotel or one that is close to the beach during this time of the year.
