I've been using Cerrentals since

Suwon City lies about 20 miles south of the Korean capital Seoul, with a million inhabitants and a steady rise in the number of foreigners, who are settling down in the city, the city is a major industrial hub. It's also known as the satellite town of Seoul and is domestically also known as the Footballing city. The city is well connected with the rest of the country and especially with Seoul through the National highway and the Subway.

It's also known as the walled city in South Area though the city has progressed much beyond its originally built walls. It has many palaces and walls and has been declared as a UNESCO World heritage site. The Hwaseong Fortress was constructed with intention of protecting the inhabitants and the tomb of Prince Sado which was located here.

The city has seen a lot of devastation and destruction during the Second World War, especially with the Japanese invasion when it changed hands four times. Suwon is bound by hills and is only 6 km away from the Yellow Sea Coast. This is an industrial hub and a cosmopolitan city and getting around is very easy. There are several city buses and taxis are also available. Car hire is another option when visiting the city.

The city has many educational institutions offering both graduate and postgraduate courses. There are 14 universities and a host of schools. There are many private schools too. There are special schools too for students who require special education. For the residents there are a host of amenities available. There are many shopping malls and facilities for sports namely archery, swimming, football, handball, badminton etc. The main employer is Samsung in the city. Samsung has its headquarters and a large factory complex here.

What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).

What kind of insurance is applicable to my car rental?

In general, Liability Insurance, Fire Insurance, All-Risks Insurance and Theft Insurance are included in the cost of your rental car.
