The coastal town of Luderitz in Namibia is an old German town that is noted for a distinctive German atmosphere. The town is famous for its colonial style buildings that reflect the Art Nouveau architecture style that survived the century's turn. The town's waterfront is also another notable feature which is now being held under revival. Located about 350 kilometers from Keetmashoop, the town can best be toured with cheap car hire at Luderitz.

The greatest attractions in town reachable by car hire at Luderitz include the numerous colonial buildings of German origins, such as the Deutsche Afrika bank, Old Post Office, and the Station building. Other historic buildings include the Felsenkirche (also known as '?the church on the rocks'?), and the Goerke Haus, which are among the best preserved buildings in town.

Visitors could also take a car rental at Luderitz to the nearby Komaskop, a ghost town which was founded back in 1908. One of the premier ghost towns in Namibia, the town can be explored through guided and permitted tours.
