Ube Airport is the main gateway to the Yamaguchi prefecture. The air hub is the biggest one within Yamaguchi that also serves as a convenient landing point for passengers who want to visit Ube and other cities within the prefecture including Iwakuna, Hagi, and Shimonoseki. The airport also serves as an alternative air hub when arriving from Tokyo to Yamaguchi, with the other airport being the New Kitakyushu Airport.

Car hire in Ube Airport is offered to passengers who want the convenience of driving the car while visiting Yamaguchi. Go sightseeing with your vehicle and drop by in places like the Rurikoji Temple that is known for the five-storey pagoda, or to the Sesshu's Garden of Joueiji Temple.
